ENVIRONMENTALISM VERSUS MAN

This talk, first given to an industry audience, begins with the observation that the "continuing Industrial Revolution...has vastly increased the health, longevity and quality of life for billions of people. What we do is good!" Despite these benefits to man, members of industrialized society are blamed for destroying the planet. This attitude reflects environmentalism's essential premise that nature as it is is the highest good and that any changes by man are evil. Environmentalism uses flawed science to promote its anti-industry and anti-man myths. This talk exposes the fallacious claims in the issues of global warming, asbestos, and pesticides-wetlands. Science is skewed to conform with preconceived philosophical attitudes, principally anti-technology, anti-wealth, anti-success, anti-mind, anti-ego, and anti-man. Three basic philosophical doctrines allow the environmentalists to rationalize their hatred of man: egalitarianism, altruism, and intrinsic value. The antidote to this corrupt movement is to promote a philosophy that values facts, reason, science and human life.
