My web site on What's REALLY Wrong With Objectivism generates a fair amount of quality e-mail response, as well as the occasional screwball response. Here's the goofiest response I have received to date, just as I received it, with spelling, grammar, and lack of paragraphs unchanged. It's worth a good laugh. The sender's name has been ommitted, out of a sense of mercy. Enjoy!
"I am not very impressed with your arguments and let me explain why in brief. Your main argument is based on your understanding of a statement made by Dr.Peikoff, in regard to Ayn rand's philosophical understanding of evil and evasion, yet you critique Rand, not Peikoff. More importantly, your argument developes around your own assumptios concerning the passages which you have chosen and your own statistics, such as "most people would think... or most objectivists would not say". If you were aware of the definitions of the words and concepts which you deal with then you would be incapable of coming to the results which you are attempting to advocate. However, I am not going to go through every line and tell you what error is present because I am lazy. No evasion here. Still, you should know that since philosophy does deal with subject matter concerning what is proper to man's survival, a definition and encompassment of evasion and evil are essential. Rand has also written quite a bit more than three words on the subject as has Peikoff. Anyone can twist information to prove to those who are less intelligent that they are right, but strangely enough, you have proven or rather illustrated evasion in action. Or you are just interested in what people have to say. Or you are lazy like me. But, you are dealing with important subject matter so if you are interested in truth you should understand that objectivism is a philosophy, people are not. Although you tried to point that out in your trashing of Rand in the start of your page, but at the end of your comments on evil and evasion you use the notion of Objectivist disagreements to prove that Objectivism is flawed. Well, I really could care less that you are spreading garbage through the internet but since I read your garbage I think that it is only fair that you have to read mine. In any case read The Virtue Of Selfishness if you are interested in truth and I think that there are enough pages on the internet that pretend to be supporters of Objectivism but are there to just trash it and not doing a good job at it. I like reading critiques if they are good. You did use some big words but I still have to fail you. Have a real day."
